Nasal RAE Endotracheal Tube

Nasal RAE Endotracheal Tube

The Nasal RAE Endotracheal Tube is a specialized airway device designed with a preformed curvature to align with the natural anatomy of the nasal passage and trachea.

Product Introduction

The Nasal RAE endotracheal tube is commonly used for nasal intubation, offering advantages such as improved anatomical conformity, reduced risk of trauma during insertion, and enhanced visualization during the intubation process. The Nasal ETT Tube is particularly beneficial in situations where oral intubation may be challenging or contraindicated.

FAQ

Q: What is the use of north facing RAE tube ETT?

A: The north facing RAE can be used for either oral or nasal intubation, mainly during maxillofacial or dental surgery where the circuit is required to go over the head out of the surgeon's field. Bronchial intubation is more common than with standard ETTs.

Q: What is the difference between ETT and RAE?

A: The distinguishing feature of RAE tubes in comparison to 'standard' ET tubes is their different pre-formed bend. The pre-forming during manufacturing reduces the risk of kinking and obstruction which could occur if a 'standard' ET tube was bent into the same shape as a RAE tube.
