Laryngeal Face Mask

The Laryngeal Mask Tube is a special artificial airway management technology that was successfully developed and used clinically in the mid-1980s and was introduced domestically in the 1990s. The use of laryngeal masks has come a long way and is used in an increasingly wide range of applications.

Introduction

The ventilation mask at the front end of the laryngeal mask is oval in shape and can surround the epiglottis and glottis to form a sealed ventilation space on the glottis. The patient can breathe spontaneously through the Laryngeal Air Mask, or controlled ventilation is possible. After the laryngeal mask is inserted, you can use auscultation, airway resistance, PETCO2 waveform, gastric tube placement (double-lumen laryngeal mask) and other methods to determine whether its position is correct.
