Choose a Nasopharyngeal Air Way that is equal in length to the distance from the nose tip to the earlobe and insert it through the unobstructed nostril. With the concave side of the curved part facing the nasal septum cartilage, insert it backwards along the parallel surface of the bottom of the nostril (about 13 to 15 cm) until the tail reaches the external opening of the nostril. If there is resistance, it can be rotated slightly and inserted slowly. If the patient coughs or resists, it should be retreated 1 to 2 cm. After insertion, the catheter head should be above the level of the epiglottis.
