Primary Functions

Oxygen Supply:
Prior to intravenous general anesthesia intubation, the mask is placed over the patient's nose and mouth to allow them to inhale high-flow pure oxygen, known as pre-oxygenation. This increases the oxygen content in the patient's lungs, providing ample time for successful intubation.
